Depends upon individual use but approximately £15 per month Fethiye can be reached by Izmir-MugIa highway as well as by the route of Antalya-Fethiye. There is also a road between Burdur and Fethiye. During the tourism season the Turkish Maritime Lines organise Mediterranean tours and there are sea buses between Rhodes and Fethiye. Travelling by air is possible to/from the Dalaman Airport (45 minutes drive) and the Antalya Airport (1 ½ hours). Fethiye straight away is associated with OLUDENIZ - the world famous and one of the most beautiful blue water lagoons and beaches. The crystal pure water of Oludeniz is almost as clean as the water we drink at home -but with salt! Oludeniz consists of two parts: Belcekiz (Belcegiz) which lies along the bay to the lagoon. This part is the windy part of Oludeniz. The second part is the real Oludeniz with the lagoon inside. This part is the calm and shallow part. Oludeniz is only a short drive (12 km) from Fethiye by public transport (local dolmush - mini-bus used as a taxi). Here, with all kinds of water sports (canoe, surf, skiing, banana, parachutes), you can also play beach-volleyball. The bars and restaurants are always ready to serve you. The Blue Lagoon is a National Park and small fee is payable on entrance to the park. Hisaronu is a charming resort in a beautiful village very popular amongst British holiday makers located centrally between the town of Fethiye and Oludeniz. It is one of the favourite holiday destinations in Turkey. It offers overwhelming choice of restaurants and bars, but also appeals to people who have an interest in walking and site seeing as it is nearby the deserted village KayaKoy better known as 'ghost town.' Ovacik is another small village on the way from Fethiye through to OluDeniz. It has preserved its real Turkish culture feel and traditional houses and mosques. It is a central point to all the main tourist attractions. It is an ideal place if you are looking to relocate or retire in this area. There is a very established British community in this area. Calis
a small sea resort and is known for its beach, located 2.5 miles to the north
of Fethiye, is a major stopping place and recreation centre of the province to
which you may take the public buses, taxis from behind the P.T.T (post office),
or go by car. Calis beach with its long sea shore, sparkling sea opening up to
a bay, suitable for all water sports, and a romantic sunset, will add unique beauty
to your vacation. Kalkan village is located 83 km from Fethiye and 130km from Antalya City which is known as "Capital of Tourism". This very exclusive area offers magnificent views of Kalkan Bay and the surrounding area. Evenings at the picturesque small harbour with cosy restaurants by the sea will engrave in your memory forever. Fethiye
area has been consistently popular with the people who are looking to relocate,
retire or make a wise investment! The property prices in this area have enjoyed
a healthy steady capital growth between 15-20%. Words
cannot describe the beauty of the turquoise coast of Turkey! Come and see it for
yourself! | ||||
